Liberty Ridge Farm Hosts Haunted Nights in October
Election 08 Corn Maze becomes ‘A Field of Screams’
Schaghticoke, NY, September 29, 2008. As the sun sets Friday & Saturday nights this October, the Election 08 Corn Maze at Liberty Ridge Farm becomes ‘A Field of Screams’ where ghouls, goblins and dark spirits stalk the cornstalk labyrinth that features the Republican Elephant, the Democrat Donkey, and Troy’s own Uncle Sam.
The Haunted Nights at Liberty Ridge Farm runs Friday and Saturday nights October 3rd through November 1st. The special admission program begins at 7pm when the spirits rise from the dead to provide fright night activities in the ‘Field of Screams’ maze, in the Forest of Fear, and a new feature added for 2008, the Fort Hunter Stockade.
- Roaming spirits, and sounds effects are featured throughout the pathways in the Election 08 Corn Maze, providing a hair-raising twist to this years ‘Vote with your Feet’ theme.
- The Forest of Fear is in the farmland woods where spirits of the crypt and cemetery lurk, and where the farmer’s Hunting Lodge puts all who enter in a tight squeeze of fear.
- The Fort Hunter Stockade features a labyrinth of fences that tests the senses and will challenge all who enter not to get lost in fright.
“We have really raised the bar with new Haunted Nights features this year,” said Cynthia Gifford, “It will be a challenge to brave the horror of the Haunted Nights and “Vote with your Feet’ in the Election 08 Field of Screams.”
