While many people around the Capital Region are stuck in the midst of the Winter Blues, many soon to be brides are busy planning their upcoming Spring weddings. This puts us here at Liberty Ridge Farm in the wedding mood also, which beats out the winter blues any day! In getting ready for the Spring wedding season we are going to be attending as vendors our first wedding show at the Hall of Springs in Saratoga on January 29, 2012 from 11am -3pm. The Liberty Ridge Farm booth will be located in the Auto Museum in case anyone comes looking for us!

We have been getting many calls from soon to be brides looking to speak with us while researching wedding venues. Some know exactly what they want some are in the beginning stages of their planning but all seem to need or want some guidance. While answering many questions and offering our advice we decided that we could offer some guidance right here on our blog for brides to be and give our top 10 ways to make your wedding at Liberty Ridge Farm special list in a series designed to hopefully help guide our brides to be along on their wedding planning journey. Every few days we will offer a couple more tips that will help make your wedding day at Liberty Ridge Farm a day you will cherish forever! As always we are certainly here in person to answer and questions and offer guidance to our brides to be also!
We hope to create a wedding here at Liberty Ridge Farm that you and everyone who attends won’t soon forget because it will look and feel so much different from any wedding that has been attended in the past! We want your day to be unique and unforgettable.
Tip #1 – Create special invitations.
If you have already booked your wedding here at Liberty Ridge Farm or are just thinking about it then you have already decided to do a sort of “theme wedding” whether it be an outdoor farm wedding or in our equestrian themed Quincy Room in the Gifford Barn. Why not create special invitations also around the equestrian or farm theme. We are happy to provide our brides with images of an area on the farm that you would like to have printed on your special invitation, just let us know. You could also send out digital invitations on a CD or DVD that not only provides the invitation itself but directions to the farm and special instructions that you would like to leave for your guests attending your special day.
Tip #2 – Create a wedding program to hand out to guests.
Not every guest at your wedding will know exactly who is in your wedding party or the significance of all the parts of the ceremony. Instead of just handing out a program with your wedding parties names on it you can add a small head shot of each wedding party participant and some fun facts or reasons for everything in the ceremony itself.
